Your responsibilities and tasks:
The ideal candidate is self-motivated and well organized with a track record of developing strong relationships with customers. Basic knowledge/experience within process industries is essential. Based in North America with the option to work remotely, the individual will successfully develop and execute sales activities that support target goals with assistance from colleagues around the world.
Main responsibilities of the Regional Sales Manager include:
- Identifies current and future customer needs by establishing a personal rapport with current and potential customers and asking questions that can uncover opportunities
- Communicates the role specific process technologies play and the value they bring to the customer
- Develops a sales plan for the region
- Communicates the customer’s project requirements to the management and engineering teams in the home office
- Assists with cost estimate preparation by reviewing project plans, customer documents, consulting with engineers, designers, and other professional and technical personnel
- Assists with proposal preparation and negotiating final contract including pricing terms and conditions
- Coordinates sales activities with other GEA groups or departments with related product lines and applications
- Participates in tradeshows and other marketing activities to increase sales volume
- Prepares and presents technical and sales presentations to customer and industry

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related degree with 3+ years of previous applicable experience within the process industry
- Previous industry experience with separation/concentration/drying preferred
- Strong verbal and written communicator
- Need to be disciplined and organized
- Demonstrated ability to understand and effectively communicate technical data and engineering systems
- Must possess good interpersonal skills and work well in both a team setting and independently
- Applicant travel: approximately 50%
- This position is available for remote work
