The Sales Application Engineer will have dual responsibility of managing new business RFQ’s and new business development.
What you will be doing:
Manage Quoting of New Customer Injection Molding Opportunities
- Point of contact to Customers and/or Sales for all new RFQ’s
- Ensure new opportunities/RFQ’s are aligned with the IMS business model
- Liaison between Sales, Customers, and Suppliers/Partners
- Log monthly customer communications in SalesForce
- Assist with Customer engineering-change quotes as needed
- Ensure customer requests requiring escalation are quickly shared with the appropriate parties in order to meet customer expectations
- Maintenance of department records including filing of quote folders, Quote-Log, and SalesForce
- Conducts Risk Management meetings after thoroughly reviewing part geometry, specifications, and quality requirements to identify potential issues prior to accepting orders.
- Defines and communicates technical requirements to Project Engineers and manufacturing partners to ensure successful execution.
Drive New Business
- Identifies opportunities to grow business with new customers
- Assist Sales with winning new business:Follow up with quoted opportunities
Assist in technical conversations
Manage New Business Purchase Orders
- Process new business purchase orders, which includes:
- Send order acknowledgements
- Perform contract and PO review
- Conduct new project kick-off meeting
- Assign Project Engineers to new projects
Other
- Provide input and/or implement solutions to company practices in order to improve efficiencies and streamline work procedures
Must have for this role:
- 3+ years of experience in an industry related role
- 2+ years of experience working in MS Office suite (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to communicate professionally to a variety of internal/external customers in both written and verbal forms
- Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently and effectively
Nice to have:
- 2+ years estimating, selling, and or project engineering of plastic injection molding projects
Travel required: 10%

Pay: $60,988.42 - $75,448.42 per year
