The Customer Account Manager is the primary day- to-day contact for assigned (established) customers, managing multiple manufacturing orders from order placement through to shipment with the goal of delighting our customers by achieving accurate and on-time orders, and responding to customer requirements and requests on a timely basis.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing multiple accounts and orders at various stages in the manufacturing process
- Calculating and confirming ingredient blends
- Scheduling orders for manufacture
- Coordinating ordering and receipt of raw materials
- Coordinating shipping and inventory control
- Extensive customer communication throughout the manufacturing process * Researching and reconciling issues
- Acting as customer advocate with internal departments; educating internal departments on key customer priorities and changes
- Assisting the sales team with customer questions and information gathering
Requirements
- Associates degree/Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Preference will be given to individuals with 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or other ‘complex’ customer service environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Must have very good English grammar skills (verbal and written) in order to provide written communications and documentation to customers.
- Strong math skills including working with decimals, fractions, weight conversions, and percent calculations.
- Analytical; ability to resolve complex challenges and follow through to completion.
- Excellent phone/people skills and ability to organize time well.
- At least intermediate-level computer skills including Excel, Word & Powerpoint and experience using an ERP system.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines.
- The ability to adapt to change and think quickly and clearly in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, with a strong sense of urgency.
- The willingness and ability to consistently contribute to a positive work environment.
- The ability to work as part of a team while achieving results independently.
