Full description of the position

Job Summary


The District Sales Manager will serve as the direct point of contact for Customers in the assigned Southern California territory. This position is responsible for the support of daily customer activities which includes, but is not limited to closing sales, writing orders, executing promotions, conducting product trainings, ensuring products are delivered correctly and on time, and products are displayed for maximum brand exposure.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Conduct sales meetings and formal training classes with various size groups, when needed
  • Schedule sales calls, with expectation that 80%+ of time out in the field with existing customers and prospects (including architects, designers, and contractors) for the sole purpose of closing sales and writing orders.
  • Looks for ways to increase distribution routinely in the performance of their duties
  • Manages confidential matters related to customers, pricing, and programs in a professional manner.
  • Performs general maintenance of displays and simple installations which may include:
    • Hanging of display panels at customer locations.
    • Occasional assembly or change-out of non-conforming or damaged pods, display panels, and other display components.
    • Other minor repairs that do not involve lifting over 25lbs.
  • Manage controllable expenses to achieve profit plans.
  • Checks stock levels to ensure levels are kept within established requirements.
  • Ensure price labels are maintained.
  • Coordinates with store contacts to ensure returns are processed appropriately.
  • Maintain adequate supplies of sales literature
  • Participate in trade shows, open houses, and other company/account activities.
  • Responsible for reporting on marketing activities and sales opportunities to manager.
  • Assist all departments to ensure the highest standards in customer satisfaction.
  • Responds to end user calls by troubleshooting non-conforming products at end user locations.
  • Performs other duties as deemed necessary.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Educations and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2-4 years’ experience in sales or related field, or 5-7 years territorial sales in the plumbing field.


Certificates, License, Registrations or Professional Designations

  • Valid Driver’s License and proof of automobile insurance.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Strong technical and mechanical aptitude to the point of being able to install Brasstech Inc.’s products.
  • Ability to present/conduct CEU seminars, lunch and learn presentations, and product trainings to small and large groups.
  • Superior People Skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent working knowledge of operations.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Computer Skills

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and use of the internet

  • English (reading, writing, verbal)

Mathematical Skills

  • Basic math skills (add, subtract, divide, multiply)

Other Skills

  • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time
  • Ability to work all shifts, including weekends and holiday hours.
  • Ability to legally work without sponsorship for employment visa status.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee uses his/her hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear. The employee uses computer or telephone equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision and ability to adjust focus. Able to sit or stand for frequent periods in the same location with some opportunity for movement. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds. Capable of operating personal vehicle.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in an office environment or enclosed office space; and can be exposed to a warehouse or showroom environment on a frequent basis. The ambient conditions are moderate, and the noise level in the work environment is moderate.

Hiring Range: $60,500.00 - $95,040.00

Actual compensation may vary based on various factors including experience, education, geographic location, and/or skills.
