The DoubleTree by Hilton Jacksonville Riverfront is a 293 deluxe room, full service contemporary hotel located in the heart of downtown Jacksonville on the south bank of the St. Johns River. The hotel is a 10 story tower with 33 suites and 12,000 square feet of meeting space that can be divided in to 18 individual meeting rooms. The hotel features a welcoming lobby with sundry shop, lounge, restaurant, and fitness center. The hotel's primary meeting space is located on the first floor and also has contemporary design. Multiple breakout rooms are located on the 2nd floor/atrium level of the hotel. The hotel restaurant, St. Johns Provision Company, offers eclectic selections with regional inspiration. Its partnering dual purpose lounge with soft seating is adjacent and compliments the restaurant. The lounge has an intimate environment and provides cozy option for casual dining in the evening hours. The fitness center is spacious for the size of the property and has a variety of both aerobic and strength equipment/stations. The pool deck offers relaxed seating cabanas with fire pits and is a window to the south bank river walk and downtown Jacksonville.
Our company is looking for a Group Sales Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Go the “extra mile” to meet sales goals and facilitate future sales;
- Provide unsurpassed service by understanding, anticipating and exceeding customers’ expectations;
- Manage our company’s speculative group space;
- Take and process orders in an accurate manner;
- Answer questions about group offerings or the company;
- Work with potential or existing group clients via inbound and outbound calls and chats;
- Ask questions to understand customer requirements and close sales.
Requirements:
- Must be proficient in general computer knowledge;
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment;
- Refined verbal and written communication skills;
- A minimum of 1-3 years of hotel sales or comparable experience preferred;
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment with rapidly changing priorities;
- Basic word processing and spreadsheet skills, at least 45 wpm typing skills;
- 12 months of Major Market Group Sales Experience;
- On call, receiving calls from clients and carriers 24/7 including holidays, weekends and evenings.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS
- Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by Manager.
- Interface positively with other departments, offering assistance when needed.
- Stay current with Delphi trace list and account data.
- To assist any department as is necessary due to business levels; which may require physical activity.
ENVIORNMENT
Indoor environment with carpeted surfaces. Well-lit with good ventilation.
