Full description of the position

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Be the company’s subject matter expert in all things sales & use tax.
· Responsible for providing guidance and compliance of all sales & use tax law for the United States jurisdictions.
· Prepare and file sales & use tax returns.
· Prepare registrations for Secretaries of State, Departments of Revenue, etc.
· Prepare and file annual reports.
· Prepare county and city registrations for projects.
· Provide guidance to companies regarding taxability of each project.
· Represent the company in all sales & use tax notices & audits.
· Provide guidance to finance and accounting personnel in calculating sales & use tax and ensure the accounting systems are set up correctly to properly record sales & use tax liabilities at time of transaction.
· Provide periodic audits of accounts payable transactions and claim refunds, as necessary.
· Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

· Strong attention to detail, well organized and capable of prioritizing in a multitask environment.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external resources.
· Strong computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook); ERP experience required (Dynamics AX and QBO)
· Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive collaborative attitude across Republic Elite processes and with customers, vendors, and regulatory agencies
· Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
· Strong background of accounting and bookkeeping
· Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in similar role.
· 5-7 years manufacturing experience, construction industry experience a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
