Full description of the position
Title: Sales and Marketing Coordinator for Meyer Jabara Hotels - BaltimoreMajor Functions:
The Sales and Marketing Coordinator will play a pivotal role ensuring success of the sales and marketing department. As soon as group business is turned definite, the Sales and Marketing Coordinator will act as the main point of contact for Meyer Jabaras multiple high-end boutique hotels in Baltimores Fells Point and Inner Harbor neighborhoods. They will detail banquet events, assist with reservations, and coordinate on-site logistics. The Sales and Marketing Coordinator will need to maintain first-in-class relationships with all customers. In addition, The Sales and Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for optimizing all key social media channels and managing each hotels online reputation.
Responsibilities:
- Reaches out to the client and introduces themselves the moment the business becomes definite and the Sales Manager has turned over the contract.
- Must be extremely detail oriented & self-motivated.
- Responsible for banquet event orders and banquet checks to clients in a timely manner as delegated by Sales Managers then follow up on any necessary correspondences and maintaining accurate records.
- Must possess excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and telephone skills
- Takes the role of liaise between other departments and the client to provide the service most suitable to the clients needs, cost and time restraints.
- Responsible for input of rooming lists and creation of transient local reservations.
- Acts as on-site point of contact who greets all groups that are having meetings in the morning to ensure a positive experience.
- Complete necessary follow up with clients such as pre-cons and thank you letters to groups.
- Conducts tours of the hotel and banquet facilities; entertains qualified potential clients in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Optimizes all key social media channels for each hotel, including but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
- Manages hotels online reputation, audits content score, and optimizes photography across all third party websites
- Must have at least two years of hotel experience in sales as an admin or coordinator role.
- Must be proficient in excel and Microsoft Word.
- Must be able to multi task and keep a positive attitude at all times.
- Must keep a neat and organized work area.
- Must be able to communicate to all departments effectively.
- Delphi experience preferred.
- Hilton and Choice experience is a plus.
- Must be flexible job may require some weekend hours.
