Williams Distributing, a Division of Daikin North America, is headquartered in Michigan. We are a wholesale distribution company with locations throughout Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana. As a full-service HVAC, Hearth, Garage Door, and Kitchen and Bath distributor we work with dealers, builders, contractors, designers, and architects to fill immediate needs within growing market opportunities.
We are seeking the opportunity to show you the industry and offer training to become a successful Hearth Sales Representative within our company. The successful candidate will be placed in an existing territory, with established business, and challenged to grow the business with the current customers and new customers, alike.

This Role
As a Hearth Sales Representative the main role is to first learn the market and business; guidance/or mentoring will be provided by the top Sales Representative within the market. Working together, you will grow the company's revenue by maintaining an existing customer database and taking proactive measures to generate new business. It is important to understand that you are going to be in this constant state of evolution and will need to be comfortable with that growth. As a builder salesperson, being able to take constructive criticism and incorporating that into your process to evolve, is so important.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and an assigned customer base, while working with other branch associates to ensure happiness with our products and services, from the order to the delivery and beyond.
- Identifies and actively pursues new business opportunities to expand the current customer base by working with management in developing sales strategies and new account targeting.
- Perform various duties including product quotation and problem resolution.
- Analyzes competition in territory, devise sales strategy, and communicates sales strategy to management.
- Continually improve sales skills and product knowledge to promote a professional image in the field.

- A key responsibility in the role is to make cold calls, give presentations, negotiate deals and constantly work towards exceeding sales goals.
Schedule
- Typical workdays are Monday-Friday
- This is a field-based sales role operating within the Columbus, Ohio area.
