We have an immediate opening for an experienced, driven Outside Sales Representative, with a background in the building or insulation industry, to join the growth of our company. Position Summary
Plans, directs, and coordinates the distribution of insulation related products to customers. Coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals. Analyzes sales statistics to determine sales potential and inventory requirements, and monitors preferences of clients. Effectively leads sales and business development within territory to ensure customer and company goals are met. Encourages and builds mutual trust and relationship with client base.
Essential Functions
· Manage and development of customer base and sales within sales territory
· Make sales calls to current and prospective customers
· Build rapport with key individuals at accounts
· Knowledge of products and assist with customer questions about products
· Oversee sales activities and administrative efforts within scope of territory, which will include processing of orders, communicating with customers on deliveries.
· Support Corporate Office in identifying short-term and long-range goals
· Develop and implement regional business plans that support corporate objectives
· Ability to effectively communicate market conditions and intelligence to lead discussions on strategic planning for business development and growth
· Complete all necessary reports and forecasting
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
· Outside sales experience is a must
· Knowledge of insulation and/or building products is preferred.
· Develop and maintain interpersonal relationships with customers as well as with colleagues.
· Communicate effectively within the organization and externally with customers.
· Negotiate with customers, while keeping their best interest as well as the company’s in mind.
· Self-motivated and effective management of time
· Detail oriented
· Travel approximately 40-50% of the time in a multi-state territory.
