We are looking for an experienced Regional / Territory Sales Professional for the position of Technical Sales Engineer for the Minneapolis, Minnesota & Northwestern Wisconsin territory representing Seco Tools’ comprehensive metal cutting solutions for milling, stationary tools, hole making and tooling systems to a diverse mix of customers in automotive, aerospace, power generation, oil & gas, medical, mold & die, construction and agriculture industries.
Accountabilities
Retain and grow business with existing customers and generate sales from new customers & channels.
To anticipate and understand customer needs and match them with our products to improve customer value and sales profit.
- Pursue sales leads; visit existing and new customers who may be of strategic importance to the organization; assess customer requirements and suggest appropriate products and services; respond to more complex customer enquiries; negotiate prices and delivery times within limits of authority and conclude sales orders to meet revenue targets.
- To collect and communicate relevant business and market intelligence to product and sales management by using the applicable systems.
- Establish annual, quarterly, monthly, or weekly sales plans and prioritize and schedule own activities to meet/exceed targets.
- Prior industry-related sales experience in cutting tools, metal cutting, or technical product sales.
- CRM experience for maintaining and detailing sales activity in system.
- The ideal candidate will live in Minneapolis Area, the role is field based.
This role requires territory sales skills and experience with a strong technical proficiency in a manufacturing environment where product application solutions are required in a distributor and end user environment.
- 60% - End User Account Management & New Business Development– Developing new end user customers while growing and mining existing customer accounts to assure customer retention and development of new business opportunities for increased product sales.
- 25% -– Distributor Channel Partner Account Management & New Business Development - Optimizing sales with distribution channel partners through joint calls, end user leads, and technical product support.
- 15% - Administration – Territory planning, sales administrative activities and reporting.
