We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Technical Sales Specialist specializing in Battery Electric Vehicle systems, with a focus on structural metal parts, to join our team. As a Technical Sales Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in engaging in intensive discussions with customers about their projects. Your extensive expertise in automotive metal parts, particularly aluminum structure components, material properties, manufacturing processes, surface treatment processes, etc. will be essential in effectively communicating our products and solutions to customers. Your valuable engagement and customer intimacy with the U.S.A. West Coast OEMs will help drive Minth Group’s growth strategy in North America. Other responsibilities include:
- Possess wide-ranging knowledge of BEV architectures, structural systems, plastic and metal parts, particularly aluminum structure parts, material properties, manufacturing processes (including die-casting, extrusion, stamping, welding, riveting, etc.), and surface treatment processes. Provide technical guidance and support to customers, offering suitable solutions that meet their specific needs
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, demonstrations, and technical proposals to customers, highlighting the benefits and features of our products and solutions. Effectively communicate value propositions and competitive advantages of Minth’s offerings
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, understanding their pain points and offering customized solutions. Collaborate with internal teams, including Engineering, Manufacturing, Product Planning, and Purchasing to acquire OEM’s early product plans, strive for joint advanced developments, and ensure Minth’s proposed solutions meet customer expectations
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics related to automotive structural parts and advancements. Conduct thorough market research to identify potential customers, emerging technologies, and new business opportunities
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers in the automotive industry, specifically focusing on aluminum structure components. Initiate discussions to understand customer needs, project requirements, and challenges
- Nurture long-term relationships with customers, providing excellent technical support. Proactively address customer concerns, resolve issues, and facilitate smooth communication between the customer and internal teams
To qualify for this role you must meet the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive metal parts (aluminum), manufacturing processes (including die casting, extrusion, stamping, welding, or riveting, etc.), and surface treatment processes. At least 7 years of working experience in automotive metal product development or manufacturing

- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationships, with a consultative and customer-centric approach.
- Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Self-motivated and target-driven, with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to establish relationships with engineers, purchasing, and decision-makers within customer organizations
- Willingness to travel as required to meet with customers and attend industry events (estimated up to 50%). A resident in San Francisco or the surrounding area is beneficial.
