POSITION: ACCOUNT MANAGER
Position Summary:
The Inside Account Manager is a goal-oriented position requiring a highly motivated individual with an exceptional work ethic, inside sales experience and the vision to act as a business consultant for your account base. Inside Account Managers will work with marketing, product management, and IT departments both internally at DSC and with your customer accounts to drive sales within the assigned account base.
Overview of Essential Duties / Functions:
- Account Planning, each account will have historical and annual budget plans set up. It is up to the Account Manager on how to best approach each account, as some require frequent phone contact, interaction with Vendors, and business plans created; while others only require emails to keep them abreast of offers and market trends. Account information should be kept up to date in the company’s CRM.
- Travel- Travel will be limited to national trade show events.
- Cube Life- The majority of work time is spent in the office proactively managing the breadth of the account base, primarily focused on frequent, proactive phone contact. Phone time with customers should account for a significant portion of each day.
- Training and Development- invest the time and effort to study, understand and incorporate the training received and show a willingness to invest whatever time is necessary to accomplish their objectives. Most of all show passion for what you are doing!

Education / Experience:
- 1-3 years of related sales experience working with Business-to-Business sales.
- Able to develop and present ROI models, demonstrate the benefits of increased volume and effective product mix to the account.
- Broad business background, preferably within the technology industry.
- Associate degree in business/marketing or equivalent experience.
- Able to travel a few times a year to trade shows.

- Ability to thrive in an unstructured environment and comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, superior ability to present to executives, and influence others.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office applications.
Physical Requirements
- This position requires the ability to occasionally move throughout the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc.
- Consistently operates a computer and other office equipment such as a copy machine, computer printer, calculator, etc.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the work-day.
- Ability to frequently communicate, both verbally and written, with employees, management, vendors and customers.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
