What you’ll be doing: Verizon Public Sector has an outside sales position partnering with the Department of Defense accounts in the Florida/Gulf Coastal area. This position is focused on solving for the military's cellular telecommunications needs.

What we’re looking for: We are looking for an outgoing individual that ideally has some or all of the following skill sets and qualifications: B2B sales experience, prior military service, understanding of the telecommunications industry and an active security clearance.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Six or more years of experience selling both global complex network and security services.

  • Experience acquiring new business, account development and leadership.

  • A track record of strategic sales at senior executive levels

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Extensive range of executive level contacts within the Department of Defense.

  • Experience with Sales and selling multi-year complex security and network solutions into the Department of Defense or other complex Tier 1 agencies.

  • Consultative selling approach and a proven understanding of solutions selling methodology and tools.

  • Good industry knowledge and great business insight.

  • Strong influencing skills and sound judgement.

  • Ability to work effectively in teams in multiple roles (i.e. contributor through to leader).

  • Strong communication, collaboration and creative skills.

  • An active security clearance.


This role may be considered as part of the Department of Defense Skillbridge program.
