Full description of the position
Full Time – Los Angeles, CA/Hybrid
About the Role
Electrum is seeking a special and capable Vice President of Sales to join our leadership team and be a driving force in the growth of a disruptive company in the climate-tech space. This role will oversee our dual sales channels - white label marketplaces and [please apply online] each requiring unique sales strategies. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the company's sales strategy to drive growth and profitability. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned sales professional to take their career to the next level by working with a dynamic and fast-growing company at the forefront of the renewable energy industry.
This role reports to the COO.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy that drives revenue growth and market share, taking into account the unique needs and approaches of our white label marketplaces and Solar.com channels
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales professionals to achieve sales goals and objectives
- Establish and maintain relationships with key customers and partners to drive business growth
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop and execute sales and marketing programs that support the sales effort
- Align and coordinate sales strategy with the post-sale fulfillment team to ensure a delightful experience throughout the customer journey
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to continuously improve sales strategies and tactics
- Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets and provide regular reports on sales performance and forecast
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred
- 10+ years of experience in sales leadership, with a proven track record of success in driving revenue growth
- Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and motivating sales teams, ideally with experience in differentiating strategies for various sales channels
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of the renewable energy industry and products is a plus
- Ability to travel as needed
- Experience working in a fast-growing organization
- Adaptive mindset and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment
- Ability to partner, collaborate and influence across functional areas (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Technology)
- Desire to stretch, learn and take on new tasks and responsibilities
