SUMMARY: Oversees sales operations to ensure the attainment of established sales objectives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Solicit, negotiate, develop and book new and repeat business through various efforts (outside sales calls, telemarketing, mailings, site inspections, referrals, networking, etc.) to maximize room revenue to meet/exceed individual monthly goals.
- Adhere to prime selling guidelines
- minimum of three (3) years hotel group sales experience w/SMERF Market Segment
- Notify/coordinate customer specifications with other departments and quickly, efficiently respond to customer issues, comments and problems to ensure a quality experience and enhance future sales prospects.
- Develop a marketing strategy by analyzing historical, current and future hotel market trends and creating selling strategies to capture the maximum amount of revenue to meet/exceed individual sales goals.
- maintain accurate, legible records and files to provide group history to ensure future and current quality service to enhance future prospects.
- Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Participate in Chamber of Commerce events.
- Weekly sales reporting to DOSM.
- Preparation of sales proposals and tools; participates in sales presentations as needed.
- Understands and communicates information regarding company products, and services.
- Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of Hotel Industry product and sales information.
- Provides timely and accurate reports as required.
- Attends and participates in business/trade events as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
- Two to four years of sales management or related experience required
