In this role, you will be a key member of the Santa Cruz location’s team, responsible for providing exceptional customer service in the showroom (approx. 80%) and supporting the warehouse operations (approx. 20%). This role involves assisting customers in selecting and purchasing appliances, maintaining the showroom appearance, and handling various warehouse tasks. The Showroom Sales and Warehouse Assistant should possess excellent communication skills, product knowledge, and organizational abilities.

Day shift; Saturday availability (10 AM – 4 PM) required. $18/hr+ DOE

Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

• Greet and engage customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Answer customer inquiries via phone, email, or in-person regarding product availability, delivery options, and after-sales service.
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues to ensure a positive shopping experience.

Showroom Maintenance:

• Ensure the showroom is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
• Arrange product displays to showcase appliances effectively.
• Monitor inventory levels and restock products as needed.
• Collaborate with the warehouse team to maintain an adequate supply of appliances on the showroom floor.

Administrative Tasks:

• Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, customer information, and inventory levels.
• Generate sales reports and provide regular updates to the management team.
• Assist in the preparation of promotional materials and product catalogs.
• Assist in maintaining an updated database of customer contacts for marketing purposes.

Warehouse Support:

• Assist with receiving and inspecting incoming shipments of appliances.
• Prepare products for showroom display, ensuring they are clean and in working condition.
• Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock replenishment.
• Collaborate with the warehouse team to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in sales or customer service is a plus.

• Proven experience in a sales or customer service role, preferably in the appliance industry.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish relationships with customers.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Able to assist with moving appliances (up to 100lbs) when necessary.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling sales transactions and inventory management.
• Knowledge of appliances and their features, including technical specifications and installation requirements, is preferred.
• Clean driving record
