Equipment International is in need of a motivated Sales Engineer to help grow our expanding geographic territory and exciting new technology.

Responsibilities of the role:
Outside Sales – Expect to be prospecting and visiting customers ~4 days a week
Selling Industrial equipment and/or Large Projects
Interacts with customers and manufacturers on pre-sale activities including customer visits, evaluation of opportunities, machine and part processing assessments and recommendations, and development of turnkey proposals
Builds and maintains relationships with new and repeat customers
Takes initiative to investigate sales leads and close a sale
Ensures that customers receive accurate and timely proposals
Maintains Customer Relations Management database or similar with contacts, project stage, project details, etc.
Explains technical differentiators between Equipment International and alternative wash solutions
Follows up with customers after the sale to ensure satisfaction with product/service
Provides continued follow up for maintenance services and tooling sales
Works closely with the Sales Team and provides weekly updates of customer interactions
Responds to functional and technical questions arising from customer needs
Stays on top of industry trends to identify potential opportunities for company growth.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years sales experience
Small Business to Small Business sales experience
Strong communication skills
Self-motivated, competitive, and comfortable working with little to no direction, as well as part of a larger team
Proven track record of successful outside sales in a competitive landscape
Clear and concise verbal and written communicator
Financially driven
Able to put together and deliver a presentation
Organized and able to work with the company’s parts and service department to coordinate success
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
