The Account Manager will be the liaison between McNaughton-McKay and its customers. The selected individual will develop strong relationships with their assigned customers, resolve customer concerns and issues, and identify opportunities to increase sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and builds strong customer relationships while adding value at a business level.
- Thorough understanding of market penetration in account base; annual development of account plan to support activity.
- Solution Sales; including Engineering Solutions Group (ESG), Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and Rockwell Services.
- Maintains and leverages available Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) tools.
- Continually generates new and creative ideas to enhance our partnership with customers.
- Develops strong relationships with vendors; effectively leveraging vendor resources.
- Understands vendors pricing strategies and processes.
- Participates in overall product training with key vendors and partners.
- Participates in personal growth plan activities.
- Compensation structure typically begins as salary then moves to a salary + commission or 100% commission plan*
- Bachelors degree required with 2 years of outside sales experience. In lieu of meeting the degree requirement, we will consider 5+ years of outside sales experience.
- Thorough knowledge of products and services offered by McNaughton McKay Electric Company.
- Proven sales and customer service skills; ability to determine customers needs.
- High level of initiative to identify and close opportunities.
- Excellent negotiating skills.
- Knowledge of distribution business systems and intermediate level of ability with Microsoft Office Products.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
