Our client, a very top spirits/wine portfolio company 25+ solid years in business and consistently growing is currently seeking an Area Sales Manager based in Northern California. RNDC relationships! Very generous bonus opportunity and car allowance on top of base salary! Reporting into a Director and Head of Sales who are 2 of the top in the business!!

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for delivering volume, distribution, and merchandising performance across the assigned territory covering all channels of business, both on-premise and off-premise.

Responsibilities
?Manage Company brand portfolio within assigned territory
?Managing distributor relationships including attending mandatory distributor sales meetings
?Ensure the planning and implementation of sales programming in all markets
?Ensure POS and other marketing assets are utilized in the field with correct programs
?Merchandising and building displays
?Implement creative programs to activate the consumer, including product sampling and demos
?Spend time each month surveying the market to ensure that distribution, pricing, POS, displays, programs, menus, and ads are executed to standard
?Monthly reporting to manager
?Travel within territory to actively engage accounts

Requirements:
?Strong interpersonal and leadership skills ?Excellent communication skills, particularly verbal, including strong presentation skills ?Organizational skills ?Ability to work independently with little direction or supervision; ?self-starter? ?Willing to be very ?hands-on? to get the job accomplished. ?Proficient in Microsoft suite including Excel, Word, and Power Point ?Valid driver?s license and ability to drive and travel 4-5 days per week required ?Ability to visit all areas of territory ?Minimum 5-7 years? experience in the wine and spirits industry
