Full description of the position

Sales Professional
Architectural Openings & Access (AOA) has an opening for a professional Sales Specialist in our window division to sell the nationally recognized Marvin family of products to the residential building and remodeling community. AOA, located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is a leading supplier of windows, doors, and hardware. The position includes in-home sales and project management.

Responsibilities:

  • Set sales appointments from leads generated by advertising, showroom traffic, and past customer referrals as well as self-generated leads.
  • Assess customer needs, demonstrate the products, measure the project, and provide the quote to the client.
  • Gain new business opportunities through networking and referrals.
  • Prospect for new business from existing customers, new home builders, and construction reports
  • Provide design options to assist home-owners with meeting budget and expectations.
  • Follow up on prospective clients and close the sale.
  • Take sales lead from initial phone call, to in-home presentation, to order processing, and scheduling delivery or installation.
  • Provide resolutions to inquiries and/or issues within 24 hours.
  • Follow up with client after the installation to ensure proper expectations have been met.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ideal candidate will understand the selling process thoroughly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be articulate, have exceptional listening skills, and understand the nuances of selling a diverse portfolio of products.
  • Have a demonstrated sense of urgency to succeed and exceed customer’s expectations.
  • Highly organized, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to build trust, rapport, and confidence with customers.
  • Construction experience and understanding of blue prints a plus.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, Outlook.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Sales experience -5+ years

Sales and Product training is provided. Smartphone, laptop, and product samples are provided.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
