Job Description:
Applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives. Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope. May act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process. Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution. Ability to handle most unique situations. May seek advice in order to make decisions on complex business issues.
Responsibilities:
- Engages with customers to design solutions using HPE and partner technologies.
- Understand customer defined use-cases and deliver proof of concept or proof of value demonstrations.
- Deliver presentations to customers/partners at events, conferences in a virtual or physical location setting.
- Participate in RFP/RFI responses, sales pursuits and demand generation activities
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and customer demand in a specified technology domain
- Lead customer discussions to identify project needs, provide technical guidance and adhoc presales consulting support
- Provides guidance and mentoring to other team members
- Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- Typically 5-10 years experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of data center technologies such as Servers, Storage and Networking equipment
- Hands on working knowledge of Operating systems, Hypervisors and Scripting languages (Ansible, Python, Powershell)
- Knowledge of enterprise software technologies such as Containers, Databases, Systems Management tools
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at management levels.
- Prior experience of at least 3 years in a Presales Sales Engineer, Solution Architect, Customer Engineer or equivalent technical Sales role.
