Starwest Botanicals, Inc., a major importer, processor, and supplier of botanical products, has a full-time opening in its Ingredients Division Sales Department for an upbeat, positive, team player with excellent computer and people skills. This position is responsible for supporting the sales team with the administrative work necessary to ensure smooth processing of orders, as well as related tasks, and acts as the backup for the sales force and sales administrative staff.

Duties include reviewing and responding to customer requests related to orders, backup paperwork, and processing of quotes. This role is primarily responsible for assisting the sales managers with their orders, quotes via email and new customer calls and assisting the customers in a professional and courteous manner.

Key Responsibilities

· Entering quotes and sample requests for customers.

· Placing orders, tracking orders, and distribution of requested product documentation.

· Taking sales calls, answering customer questions.

· Responding professionally to customer email requests, questions and issues, using proper grammar, punctuation, empathy, and language usage.

· Capture all relevant customer information with high level of accuracy (ex: customer profiles, spec requirements, campaign information, email addresses, etc.).

· Document customer service issues and report trends to management.

· Reports trends in operation to management.

· Work closely with other departments to complete requests (i.e. inventory, quality control, purchasing, accounting).

· Complete all other miscellaneous duties as assigned (i.e. billing/packing slip processing/spreadsheets, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

· High School diploma or equivalent (some college preferred).

· Must have good written-and verbal communications skills in English. Spanish a plus.

· Must be able to work in a team environment.

· Must demonstrate excellent attention to detail.

· Strong PC skills to include MS Word and Excel and Outlook.

· Previous B2B Sales experience a plus.

· Data entry experience.

· Background in food, herbal and/or health and wellness industry a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
