Full description of the position

Agilix Solutions currently has an opening for an Inside Sales Representative at our Memphis, TN location. This position is a full-time Inside selling role that is responsible for sales growth with light customer-facing responsibilities. touches leveraging a well-defined strategic plan with outbound tactical communication execution.


This role will report to the Branch Manager.


Primary Responsibilities


  • Provide customers with excellent customer support for order entry, pro-active order follow-up, cross-selling, item substitution, and provide customers with appropriate technical support.
  • Accurate and profitable quoting of products to customers, entering quotes in our business system, providing customers with product lead times and logistics
  • Proactive follow-up with vendors and customers on open orders
  • Ability to work with customers and direct them to the appropriate internal resource to solve their problems.
  • Effective training and guidance for the sale of supported products. Act as a technical resource for supporting day-to-day activities.
  • Team with Outside Sales to identify the target customers, establish relationships, and cultivate opportunities.
  • Coordinate with product vendors for targeted customer conversions and other product related questions
  • Utilize and maintain company CRM (customer relationship management) tool for all activities.
  • Maintaining profitable profit margins
  • Participates in training opportunities to enhance and maintain personal and product knowledge.
  • Manages customer projects including following the entire project life cycle from job quotes, open orders, delivery and satisfaction expectations.
  • Gathers marketing information regarding customers, competitors and pricing as well as implements sales strategies set forth by senior management.


  • Inside Sales or Counter sales experience in the Electrical industry, Industrial & Safety or similar categories is preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and remain organized.
  • Ability to administer and implement marketing, promotional programs, and product launches.
  • Ability to work as a team member executing as part of an overall company strategy for reaching new and existing customers and creating demand for targeted products and services.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly articulate highly technical products and services.
  • Computer skills (i.e., Windows, Microsoft Office Suite - Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Creative thinker with the ability to create original concepts to train, service, and sell to internal and external customers.
  • Understanding of data and how it can be used to analyze business opportunities.
  • Collaborative cross-functional team skills to work with Marketing, Outside Account Managers, Sales and Operations Teams.
  • 5 years of electrical industry experience is considered a plus.
  • Familiarization with Automation Products, Electrical Products, Industrial & Safety
