A National Property Management Company is seeking to hire a Assistant Manager for a highrise apartment community located in Kansas City, Mo.
Assistant Managers, under the supervision of the General Manager, are responsible for the operation of the management office. The Assistant Manager must report to work on time, appropriately dressed and in uniform including name tag at the beginning of each workday. All employees are required to read and adhere to the Policies and Procedures posted on the Company portal. Currently Established Responsibilities include performing and/or overseeing the following: Completing all required Company assigned training courses. Assisting in supervising and directing personnel in the management office on procedures, reports, records and work schedules established by the Company. Checking the condition of the model apartments, available “show” apartments and the rental office daily. Confirming accuracy of Yardi records for resident move-in and renewal lease records. Monitoring unit availability, pricing and specials for new and renewal leases. Preparing renewal lease reports, offers and tracking responses. Assisting in staff scheduling. Collecting, recording and depositing of income, including all aspects of delinquent rent pursuit. Assisting in the processing of invoices. Treating residents with respect, efficiency and courtesy. Being able to work weekends when requested. Assisting in training and supervising leasing staff. Using technology and programs implemented by the Company as directed. Maintaining an inventory of all supplies, approved marketing material and equipment. 11-001/08.04.20 Enforcing company policies and procedures. Making or overseeing follow-up calls to residents for lease renewals. Reviewing all online marketing content regularly but no less than weekly. Assuming the responsibilities of the General Manager when directed to do so by the General Manager’s Direct Supervisor or Asset Management. This includes but is not limited to walking the property each day the General Manager is unavailable to inspect for cleanliness and security, to confirm that maintenance work has been completed and that rent ready apartments have been properly prepared
Requirements for Assistant Manager:
- Must have at least two years experience working as a Assistant Manager, and a minimum of five years of property management experience.
- Must have good organizational, analytical, communication and written skills.
- Excel, Word, and computer skills required.
- Yardi software knowledge preferred.
- CAM, NALP, ARM, CAPS, and broker designations a plus.
- BA, BS, or Associate’s degree preferred.
- Must possess a current and valid driver’s license.
