PRIMARY FUNCTION:
As a Customer Service Representative you will be responsible for customer related communications assisting the Sales Manager in the administration and communication of effective customer support activities. As customer service professional, you will perform a variety of administrative duties and sales related support.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- This job will require above average math skills with an in-depth knowledge of constructing large spreadsheets in excel and developing price schedules.
- This job will require the ability to meet project deadlines, multitask various projects, and switch priorities quickly.
- Provide sales quotes and pricing for new and current customers.
- Provide general sales and customer related communications support and assist the Sales
Manager with customer support activities.
- Perform administrative tasks, including mailing functions, produce and distribute sales reports, timelines and general record keeping.
- Maintain effective sales database and update all relevant information on customers.
- Contribute by identifying ideas on increasing revenue.
- Address customer concerns, requests and questions.
- Additional support functions in the daily communication, record keeping and strategic positioning of the shows.
- Deals with exact and precise figures/data.
- Provides quote data to management upon which operational or financial decisions could be based and undetected errors could have minor or significant effect.
- This position is dependent on keeping up to date knowledge of market trends, market forecasting, customer forecast, and changes in steel markets both in the US and abroad.
- Follow defined procedures and guidelines in job duties.
- Establish priorities in problem solving with initiative to resolve inconsistencies or errors and to maintain accuracy of the work.

- Performs all duties following established safety procedures and guidelines using assigned safety equipment.
- Performs other duties as required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of cost quote procedures and requirements a plus. Training is provided.
- Familiar with company products, processes, and terminology a plus. Training is provided.
- Requires above average computer skills and knowledge of the systems and specified software applications.
- Must have good communication skills.
- Requires the ability to maintain specified records, files, and logs, both manual and computer, and to compile data to prepare and generate reports.
- Familiar with safety regulations a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS & WORK EXPERIENCE:
- 2-5 years’ work experience in a manufacturing company.
- Understanding of the sales process and vendor relationships.
- Ability to understand technical issues.
- Good communication and negotiating skills.
- Excellent Excel Skills
- Excellent Math Skills
SCHOOLING OR EQUIVALENT:
- A BS or Associate degree in business is a plus
