Retail Sales Engineer (Sales) in Pittsburgh, PA
PALCO POWER SYSTEMS the exclusive distributor for Kohler Energy in Western PA, Western MD and West Virginia, has an immediate opening for a Sales Engineer for the greater Pittsburgh market. Responsibilities include calling on consulting engineers in order to assist in the design of projects involving power generation, building a market presence for the PALCO/Kohler brand. Qualified candidates will possess a minimum of a BS in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on power generation or equivalent in industry experience. A working knowledge of the design and principals of paralleling switchgear, ATS, MTS, standby and emergency power generation, tier 4 systems and system requirements, NFPA regulations, NEC codes etc. in order to best facilitate the design engineers needs. Must be excellent in communicating specifics both verbally and electronically, be a self-starter, able to work independently while seeing a project through from initiation until completion. The proper candidate will have a great attention to detail all while working within the team structure of the PALCO industrial sales team.

Position Requirements:
BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent in industry experience
Extensive knowledge of diesel, natural gas and propane generator sets
Strong computer skills including a proficiency in Excel, word and power point
Sales driven individual with a desire to grow the market
Must be able to pass a back ground check and drug screen
Possess a drivers license and clean driving record

All employees are subject to and must execute an Employment Agreement that includes a restrictive covenant, (non-compete, non-Disclosure). This restrictive covenant is for 3 years or within 100 miles of any Scott Electric location.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 per year
