Oak View Group (OVG) (formerly Spectra), an international sports and entertainment firm representing venues, teams and world-class events, is seeking a professional candidate to join our growing corporate team. This exciting position will be responsible for generating revenue from regional and national companies through the sale of integrated sponsorship packages at one of the premier stadiums in the United States. Reporting to the General Manager, the Director of Partnership Sales and Marketing will sell fully integrated sponsorship programs that include marketing rights, Official Partnerships, on premise signage, event sponsorships, promotions, event marketing, media exposure and select premium seating elements for the Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium in Liberty Park, located in Memphis, TN. This position will also directly oversee the venue marketing department including event marketing, venue marketing, social media while managing all marketing assets, platforms and initiatives. Additionally, this position will work closely with all other department staff (operations, finance, events, and food & beverage) to ensure a seamless experience for all clients and guests.
This role will pay a salary of $60,000 to $70,000.

About the Venue: Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium is a 136-acre multi-purpose sports and entertainment complex centered around the iconic Stadium. The Stadium was opened in 1965 as Memphis Memorial Stadium. Over the years the Stadium and Liberty Park have seen numerous renovations and expansions, and now has a capacity of 58,325. The complex has been managed by Spectra Venue Management since 2011. The Stadium is home to the University of Memphis Tigers, Southern Heritage Classic and AutoZone Liberty Bowl. In addition to football, the venue accommodates other events such as concerts, family shows, band competitions and corporate events.

Job Functions:
- Responsible for establishing new marketing partnerships to achieve annual revenue goals.
- Develop high level discussions around venue naming rights and sub-naming rights opportunities
- Conduct cold calls as a way of securing appointments to sell to new prospects among local and national companies.
- Analyze specific marketing needs of prospects based on partner objectives, market strategies, category potential, activation potential and financials
- Effectively present proposals in front of individuals and large groups.
- Develop meaningful business relationships with existing and potential sponsors.
- Develop sales action plans to ensure hitting budget goals along with the VP, Partnerships
- Prospect, sell, cultivate, and maintain the corporate sponsorships for the venue in both new and renewal business
- Solicit new cash partnerships
- Execute all aspects of corporate partnership fulfillment
- Work with outside agencies to get all corporate partnerships signage created and placed
- Create annual recaps for corporate partners, when applicable
- Service all corporate sponsorships through various means including direct contact, newsletters, corporate partner gatherings, etc.
- Create new client initiatives to better serve the corporate partners
- Design of sales proposals and presentations for potential corporate partners
- Create and implement new ideas and opportunities that will drive revenue for the venue
- Work and attend events, promotions, and OVG Corporate Sales events
- Provide marketing support for concerts, family shows, sporting events, conventions, and other miscellaneous events
- Enhance existing promotional initiatives and develop new marketing programs and initiatives to maximize ticket sales and other revenue streams, such as third-party partnerships, new media avenues, Food and Beverage, and non-traditional marketing opportunities for the facility and its events.
- Aggressively create new ways to increase ticket sales, when applicable
- Coordinate and assist with all public relations efforts such as media releases, story pitches, media drops, interviews,
- Create, prepare and implement advertising and promotional plans for booked events
- Communicate daily with media partners, promoters and entertainment agencies to maintain cooperative, positive relationships
- Track, analyze and compare event sales information
- Be involved with the community and act as the voice for the venue
- Negotiate contracts with media and promotional partners
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of the department’s current contractual agreements including drafting and preparing agreements through final execution with client
- Develop and implement all aspects of the sales / marketing plan
- Participate in the development and implementation of annual sales / marketing goals and objectives
- Track and manage daily, weekly, monthly sales / marketing reports along with providing forecasting for revenue generation
- Participate in the development and administration of the annual budget
- Responsible for the management, content creation, and growth for all venue social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
- Direct and plan promotional projects and coordinate focused marketing programs developed to enhance overall building image and reputation.
- Responsible for the creation of the Annual Report and Annual Venue Marketing plan
- Explore non-traditional marketing opportunities for the facility and its events
- Interpret the venue customer experience through surveys and other means and aggregate results for presentation.
- Research, analyze and monitor industry factors so that market opportunities may be capitalized on and the effects of competitive activity may be minimized.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree or better from an accredited college or university, preferably in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration or other related field
- 5+ years of sales & marketing experience, preferably in Sports & Entertainment with an emphasis in one or more of the following areas: premium seating, group ticket sales, corporate partnerships, event / venue marketing, public relations
- Proven track record of developing and managing highly strategic corporate partnerships; Strong prospecting, analytical, presentation and communication skills.
- Proven success in establishing and meeting challenging sales objectives in a high profile, competitive marketplace.
- Comfortable managing tight deadlines and meeting aggressive sales goals and expectations.
- Strong professional relationship skills; Ability to establish and maintain long-term strategic relationships with corporate clients, direct reports and co-workers.
- Must be a skilled negotiator with the ability to effectively represent the standards and philosophy of the department.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Must be highly self-motivated and adept at working both independently and as part of a team.
