Full description of the position

As the Global Head of Business Development for our Enabling Services organization you will establish and build our go-to-market strategy for our Enabling Services organization to include clinical trial technologies and post approval capabilities from our endpoint, Post-Approval Safety, Patient Access, clinical trial Dashboard and Analytics businesses and Decentralized Clinical Trial and Remote Patient Management businesses.
You’ll have the opportunity to take a current book of business, established customer base and expand sales and partnerships globally, focusing on Pharma as well as other CROs and service providers to provide additional value through tools and technologies to help our clients achieve their goals.
Working cross-functionally in partnership with our Clinical organization, you’ll inform on product development needs to enable our platforms to be best in class while growing market share across the Enabling Services portfolio.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for leading global sales for Enabling Services across multiple sites/locations/geographies and multiple business lines
  • Active member of Commercial Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and Enabling Services ELT
  • Identifies new business opportunities and drives sales growth toward achieving business objectives
  • Formulates strategy for the Enabling Services BU together with the Enabling Services Executive Leadership Team
  • Leads all sales and client service development activities across clinical technology and post approval lines of business
  • Assigns resources as needed to meet business unit sales and client service goals and objectives.
  • Develops strategies, sales goals and business plan to assure business unit achieves annual growth targets
  • Facilitates strong internal relationships and communication with operational colleagues
  • Responsible for all internal and external communications related to sales and client services
  • Sets all sales administration policies and direction regarding budgets, sales target, sales training, incentive compensation, and performance management
  • Hires and develops diverse talent; develops new Sales Directors
  • Initiates, plans and implements appropriate staff development programs
  • Provides leadership (coaching, mentoring, guiding, challenging, problem solving etc) to Sales Directors
  • Establishes client targeting and segmentation strategy, AE/territory assignment, and account development plans
  • Assists sales team in developing internal and external relationships and identifying new market opportunities
  • Conducts quarterly review of account plans with Sales Directors
  • Works closely with sales leaders in other Fortrea business units to develop joint opportunities and relationships with clients
  • Facilitates negotiation of margin and pricing discussions both internally and externally
  • Manages team performance and feedback providing guidance on development opportunities and action plans
  • Functions as an advisor to Sales Directors, troubleshooting and resolving internal and external issues
  • Facilitates strong internal relationships and communication with operational colleagues
  • Identifies and executes process improvement opportunities
  • Utilizes SFDC to manage team pipeline, forecast and analyze key sales metrics.
  • Gathers and shares market intelligence and competitive information with sales team, peers and marketing
  • Leads annual sales meeting planning in conjunction with marketing
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 15 years in health care sales, marketing or related field required
  • A minimum of 8 years sales management experience required
  • Experience in sales of services and technologies to Life Science Companies in either Drug Development or the Commercialization space required
  • Bachelors degree in life science or business field required, MBA strongly preferred
  • Ability to manage difficult client and/or financial situations
  • Ability to differentiate Fortrea from competitors
  • Strong working relationship with internal Fortrea management and site leadership
  • Experience developing and executing strategic business plans
  • Ability to manage and motivate client facing teams
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in leading and presenting to executives and senior levels of the client organization
  • Extensive global collaboration experience
  • Highly consultative
  • Excellent negotiation skills and demonstrated ability to influence sales decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead
  • Strong executive management leadership skills

Pay Range: $200,000-$300,000 (The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity)
