Agriculture Sales Associate - Fresh Produce in Santa Paula, CA
The ideal Fresh Sales Associate will possess a strong work ethic, be highly motivated, personable and outgoing. The Fresh Sales Associate will be responsible for selling, sales order entry, compiling and organizing pricing requests and pricing history, along with assisting in maintaining a sales forecast for an assigned list of customers. This position will also be responsible for processes in place to deliver first-in-class service to our customers, which include cross functional coordination with logistics and food safety teams, as well as order tracking, transaction research and addressing other customer needs as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Service existing accounts by obtaining orders, selling, fielding questions and establish new accounts
- Properly enter and manage sales orders
- Submits activity and results reports to management.
- Identify sales trends and manage pricing requests as well as promotional volumes.
- Customer Support including problem-solving & inventory management
- Accounting and administrative tasks for assigned accounts
- Forecasting and sales campaign planning
- Maintenance and update of standard procedures to support assigned customers and stabilize/improve customer service activities
- Demonstrated ability to proficiently multi task and successfully meet deadlines and timelines.
- Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management
- Maintain a leading-edge awareness of the changing business and market trends in the produce industry
- Create and prepare sales PowerPoint presentations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture or a related field, or a combination of education and work experience.
- 0 to 2 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or other fresh produce related environments
- Strong research and data analysis skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft office and CRM software
- Ability to work independently and with cross functional teams.
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Projection and forecasting skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Self-motivated with a strong will and an internal desire to succeed
- Ability to recognize and define problems, find possible solutions and execute a plan to overcome them
- Professional and polished demeanor when working with others
- Spanish speaking a plus
Additional Information
- Position based in Santa Paula, CA
- Hours of work Mon-Fri 7am – 4pm
- Evening and weekend work are occasionally required based on customer needs & market situations.
Compensation
- The base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this role is: $64,400.00 - $84,500.00.
- The actual salary for this role will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s skills and experience.
- Please note that base pay is one important aspect of a compelling Total Rewards package. The base pay range indicated here does not include any additional benefits or cash bonuses that you may be eligible for based on your role and/or employment type.
