Galasso’s is looking for an experienced Relief Driver. The position reports to the Depot Supervisor or Manager and is primarily responsible for accurately selecting and staging each route's bread orders in designated areas and also providing back-up route coverage to Route Sales Representatives when necessary. This position works out of our North Hollywood Depot. This position works 4 days per week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 1:00 am start time and roughly 12:00 pm end time. There is over time opportunity.

Position Responsibilities:

• Accurately select, stage, and load bread products as determined by each route's load sheet.
• Monitor product being loaded and timely notify supervisors, managers, and coworkers of any quality or shortage issues with the product.
• Provide back-up coverage to Route Sales Representatives which includes the following: daily delivery of bread products on a timely basis to required customers using route delivery vehicle, operate a hand-held computer, ordering, loading/unloading of product, maintaining excellent customer relations, collecting payments from accounts, promoting sales growth.
• Verify route returns and truck stock as needed or when requested.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule which includes a split workweek and weekends.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2-3 years route sales experience
• Valid California Driver License with clean driving record (no more than 1 point)
• Ability to perform duties with limited supervision
• Attention to detail
• Basic computer and math skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., ability to push rack with weight up to 800 lbs.
• Able to safely operate delivery type vehicle.
