Job Title: NRG Energy Sales Agent

Job Location: Oakbrook Terrace, IL

On Site Marketing, Inc., a sales and marketing agency, is seeking friendly, outgoing, persuasive, money-motivated SALES AGENTS to be a part of a high profile, high energy, sales team operating at retail, theater, airports, and special events throughout the Greater Chicagoland area.

We are currently supporting a sales team on behalf of NRG Energy to promote and enroll customers in their electricity and natural gas services. This is a forward facing, customer acquisition role as part of a team that utilizes sales displays and kiosks inside “Big Box” retail locations such as Walmart stores, Sam’s Club, Movie Theaters, Midway and O'Hare Airports, and many other high traffic venues including participation in exciting local events such as Wells Street Art Fest., Taste of Lincoln, Chicago Ribfest, Burger Fest., and the Chicago Film Festival to name a few . This is not a door to door position nor multi-level marketing sales.

People who are successful in this role are generally motivated by the idea of earning a good income while working in unconventional spaces (not sitting at a desk) and being able to operate fairly autonomously while achieving sales goals. Successful agents should expect to earn a good income. We try to be generous with our commissions and ensure that the people doing the work, the Sales Agents, are being properly compensated and can earn a good living in this role.

It's worth noting that while this is a simple job, it’s by no means easy. It requires hard work, consistent effort, and thick skin. This position encourages individual expression and freedom to act independently within our guidelines, and those of the venue you operate in, while representing both the NRG Energy and On-Site Marketing brands.

We recognize that we all have a life outside of our jobs. We offer flexible schedules that include day shifts in the early morning, mid-day, some evening shifts, and weekends. We are hiring for both full time and part time positions. Full time employees work between 30 and 35 hours each week. This position does require you to be on your feet, engaging with customers, and making sales.

We pay a generous hourly rate of $20.00 per hour to start, This is designed to offer new hires or “Rookies” the opportunity to earn a predictable, living wage while adjusting to their new role as a Sales Agent. This base rate will continue through your first twenty (20) shifts or roughly the first month of your employment. Commissions after your “Rookie” phase are very generous which allows many of our sales associates to earn an average of $25-$35 per hour while working 30 -35 hours per week. All new hires are eligible to receive an additional bonus of $250 after completing their first 5 sales shifts. On Site Marketing offers medical, dental and 401K benefits. It's worth noting again that this is a sales position. If you are applying to this job just to earn an hourly wage, then this is not the job for you.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Required to stand during scheduled shift (6 hours or more).
• Must pass applicable background checks.
• Must clear a drug screening (Marijuana does not apply).
