To help accomplish this “mission impossible”, we’re seeking an inspired, value-aligned business development leader, who has a heart for sustainability. Your key focus will be driving new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers and guiding them throughout their journey with SmartSolve. You will strive to understand the customer’s business goals and present key features, advantages, benefits, and potential applications for our water-soluble materials.
Essential Duties:
- Proactively identify and contact potential customers through cold calls, email, and social media
- Qualify leads from website and marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
- Present SmartSolve to potential customers and work to close deals
- Identify customer needs and suggest appropriate products/services
- Work to prepare quotes for customers
- Build long-term, trusting relationships with prospects and customers alike
- Send samples / literature as needed and execute sales process for nurturing prospects
- Leverage CRM for data capture and nurture campaigns for customers and prospects
- Give customer care to all accounts assigned, answering calls, e-mails, and web forms as needed
- Support growth goals for existing customers, new customers, and past customers
- Enter orders and other required paperwork with complete and accurate information
- Will be responsible to achieve sales goals that will be given by the Director of Sales & Marketing
- All other responsibilities or projects as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Results-driven
- Understanding of sales performance metrics and a track record of achieving sales quotas
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to build and deliver engaging presentations
- Ability to organize and schedule one's work and the self-motivation to diligently perform it with little supervision
- Good computer skills, including knowledge of excel, word, and familiarity with CRM software
Training and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or relevant field
- 2+ years experience in a sales role selling to and serving customers
Physical Requirements:
- Reaching for phone and keyboard
- Talking, hearing and repetitive motion
- Sedentary work-exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally.
- Required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures
