Assistant Manager

Essential Functions:
- Build sales through maximizing customer service levels, operating procedures and maintaining excellent store image
- Maintain knowledge of products in lumber and home improvement industry
- Manage and secure all company assets to most efficiently operate the store and maximize profitability
- Prepare material estimates and quotes for customers and contractors
- Ensure availability of merchandise by maintaining proper inventory levels
- Maintain working relationships with corporate buying department and vendors
- Manage a team of employees that perform at levels consistent with company objectives
- Train and develop all store employees consistent with company expectations
- Set a personal example of a professional image in accordance with company dress code, policies, behavior and attitude
- Ensure all employees comply with all government laws and regulations and maintain a facility that provides a safe environment for customers and employees
- Maintain operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing operational and personnel policies and procedures
- Resolve customer complaints and queries in a pleasant and positive manner
- Establish a positive personal and professional profile within the community
- Assisting with register and bookkeeping
