The E-commerce Sales & Service Professional assists the Web Team by exceeding sales expectations of the Day’s Jewelers website, becomes the primary point of contact for all order-related objectives, including fulfillments, shipment, special orders, repairs, and answering any customer questions as it relates to their orders, and ensures prompt, accurate and efficient responses to customer inquiries across multiple communication methods.
Requirements:The E-commerce Sales & Service Professional is a full-time, Monday-Friday position in the HEM corporate office located in Waterville, Maine. After-hours and weekend support is required, as is evenings and weekends during peak seasons. Pay range is expected to fall between $17-$20/hr.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Commerce, Digital Business or other related field of study
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a retail customer service-related role, preferably an e-commerce environment
- Minimum of one year of sales experience
- Jewelry retail experience
- Jewelry certification trained; JA, DCA, and GIA Certifications

Summary of Job Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates the ability to close sales.
- Build long-term relationships with clients by practicing consistent follow-through on all client requests, including:
- providing product and service information that will support their purchases
- maintaining an ongoing line of communication after purchase through handwritten thank you notes, phone, email and SMS contact to introduce new product arrivals, buying opportunities, and recognizing client birthdays and anniversaries
- Share responsibilities with the Web and Marketing teams to provide advice and answers to customer communication requests and inquisitions. Response to customer inquiries via chat, email, phone and SMS is expected during standard work hours. Response to customer inquiries via chat, email, and SMS is expected after standard working hours.
- Maintain an awareness of all product information, branded merchandise features and benefits, and merchandise promotions and advertisements.
- Knowledgeable in all product warranties and Day’s Jewelers services.
- Proper packaging and shipment to customers in accordance with all company standards and procedures.
- Fulfills customer online orders; properly completing POS transactions and capturing customer demographics for proper account maintenance. Responsible for the thorough research of customer’s profiles, to ensure that a duplicate account is not created, thereby accurately following POS procedures
- Maintain all layaways in accordance with Day's Layaway Standards
- Regular maintenance of the Website SKU Addition Sheet to make product live and create virtual try on links
- Regular maintenance of product appearance on the Day’s Jewelers website
