About This Role:
We’re looking for an Onsite Clinical Specialist to join our growing team. As an Onsite Clinical Specialist at Novir, you will be responsible for operations and coordination of Novir’s onsite vaccination clinics. This role will have a blend of responsibilities related to clinic operations, new hire onboarding and management, and onsite education.
What You'll Do:
- Provides clinical support to the VP of Clinical Operations through scope checks and implementations where needed
- Under the direction of VP Onsite Services, develops policies and procedures for onsite service delivery ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Participates in new hire orientation, presenting clinical information and updating all clinical content.
- Trains existing employees and new hires on new service offerings and ensures competencies through skill checks and return demonstration onsite.
- Develops documentation and competency skills checks for new service/products.
- Support the day-to-day field team, guaranteeing consistent and excellent services are delivered to our customers
- Champions Novir’s culture to drive a positive work environment through meeting with new hires on sites weekly for the first 60 days
- Works with internal stakeholders to provide feedback from the field team to improve employee retention and engagement
- Provides real-time feedback to staff and demonstrates the ability to turn successes and failures into meaningful training moments
- Embraces new staff hires and facilitates a smooth transition into the field team
- Serves as a clinical resource and mentor for staff for field team to achieve a high level of performance
- Ensures all clinic procedures are adhered to and completed in a timely manner in line with clinic needs.Assists with any other clinic duties as required, including supporting other team members inclusive of our Clinic Coordinators onsite
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge and understanding of relevant clinical education and training, products and services
- Completes Onsite Quality Review of Clinical Operations
Oversees and works within various site vaccination clinics:
- Prepares, mixes, and dilutes vaccine and appropriately labels drawn doses
- Inspects vaccine vials and trays for leakage or breakage
- Monitors the vaccine throughout the operation to ensure correct temperatures are maintained
- Follows CDC guidance and policies for dry ice safety and handling as well as vaccine dilution, storage, and handling
- Provides proper receipt, storage, and handling of vaccines to include cold chain management during normal business hours
- Works directly with the Onsite Health team to ensure correct number of vaccines, and that the vaccine is secured with cold chain managed on-site, and is managed at the end of the day appropriately for possible transportation to the central storage
- Ensure proper data reporting: Beginning-of-Day Report, End-of-Day Report, Hourly Temp Log, Vaccine Waste Log, Vaccine Inventory Log, and others as needed
- Ensure an on-site vaccine inventory is maintained (accurately and timely)
- Acts as a vaccinator
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation of all vaccination activities
Required Qualifications:
- Must have a valid and unrestricted professional license with the ability to vaccinate (MA II, EMT, RN)
- Active CPR/BLS certification
- Previous experience within the last six months in administering vaccinations
- Strong IV and assessment skills
- 3+ years in patient facing roles, preferably within a clinical setting
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude with the ability to adapt to changing project demands.
- Significant resourcefulness and flexibility are required
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- A passion for coaching others and continued professional development
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- BSN preferred
