Program Support Specialist - DEIA, Communications, and Change Management

The Company:

Censeo Consulting Group is a top Washington D.C. based management consulting firm dedicated to helping public sector and non-profit clients build operational excellence, deliver better outcomes, and lower cost. We take a personalized approach to strategic consulting to solve our clients’ most complex problems and build operational excellence that transforms their organizations, allowing them to better deliver on their public and social missions.

At Censeo, our award-winning culture means you’ll join a tight-knit community of 75 brilliant and passionate colleagues. We are advocates for a better functioning public sector, and we’re also good friends who know the names of each other’s dogs. Our philosophy is horizontal, not hierarchical, and our open-door policy encourages a culture of entrepreneurship at all levels. We share successes, make decisions together, and foster an environment for those with initiative to lead. Our colleagues bring their own unique personalities to work every day and use them to help shape our growing firm in ways that reach far beyond client projects.

The Position:

We are looking for passionate, driven candidates to help solve our client’s complex problems and guide them towards operational success. As a Program Support Specialist, you will work closely with our federal client at CFPB within the OMWI (Office of Minority and Women
Inclusion) to provide program management in the areas of Strategic Communications and Change Management related to DEIA strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and edit OMWI communications, coordinate with appropriate stakeholders
for distribution, and ensure accuracy of all communication products.
  • Draft internal and external reports (i.e. Semi-Annual report (OMWI Section) and
    OMWI Annual Report to Congress).
  • Distill complex information into plain and clear language to deliver written
    content to the intended audience.
  • Author, edit, and publish wiki content, OMWI communications, leadership
    talking points, and executive messages.
  • Execute OMWI dialogue sessions, including planning, logistics, content and
    identifying proposed supplemental materials.
  • Assist in special projects as needed and provide deliverables within set deadlines. Special projects may include, but are not limited to, items such as: researching
and subsequently crafting communications to the workforce when tragic events
occur, marketing and socializing new OMWI programs or events to the
workforce, and/or involve researching and subsequently developing questions for
    diversity and inclusion dialogue sessions.
  • Attend meetings as needed to collaborate with OMWI staff and other points of
contact related to communication functions across the Bureau.
  • Review the CFPB DEIA plan, CFPB Strategic Plan, associated workforce-related
action items of both plans, and other policy and guidance documents as needed.
  • Engage in weekly communication with OMWI leadership (and SMEs as needed)
on designing change management strategy for implementation of DEIA action
    items.
  • Identify and propose change management process(es) that facilitate
CFPB/OMWI’s execution of strategic plans within requisite timeframes.
  • Upon approval of the change management process design by OMWI leadership,
develop and submit implementation plan(s) and associated timelines to OMWI
    leadership for review.

The Ideal Candidate:

At Censeo, we are looking for unique candidates whose passion and enthusiasm will help shape Censeo’s client insights and workplace culture. Our staff have a wide range of backgrounds, areas of expertise, personality types, and favorite breakfast foods. Our client and cultural successes are rooted in our team’s innovation, creative problem solving, and collaboration. The unique perspective that you bring and the way you tackle problems are much more important to us than what’s printed on your diploma. We believe a successful Program Support Specialist will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience in business, management, communications or other related fields
  • Ability to use various software packages including, but not limited to SharePoint
and MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); Experience using
    project management software/tools is desirable.
  • Ability to independently plan project tasks and activities needed to complete
    project segments.
  • Knowledge of organizational development, specifically change management
    strategy and implementation processes.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of communication concepts, principles, and practices
and skill in applying knowledge to difficult and complex work assignments.
  • Ability to establish writing and editing principles, techniques, and processes in
order to assist OMWI with producing communications to internal and external
    audiences.
  • Ability to interpret and explain a variety of subjects and to write and edit
    materials tailored to specified audiences.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships, to include the
ability to communicate and work collaboratively with individuals at all levels.
  • Ability to draft proposed communication content for informational value and
potential interest and make initial decision/edits.
  • Knowledge of grammar, writing and editing practices, and the style requirements
of the Bureau and utilized publications to ensure that all written materials are
    clear, concise, and accurate.
  • Ability to independently plan, organize, and coordinate work in situations of
varied demands and rapidly changing priorities.
  • Knowledge and ability to develop communication strategies and plans. Ability to
integrate various types of media and methodologies and provide the most
appropriate and cost-effective means to promote communication objectives and
facilitate mutual understanding with various audiences.
  • Ability to define and deliver messages and ability to develop innovative
