Overview

LegalZoom.com is seeking a Tax Admin/Sales Tax Specialist to join our Finance tax team. We are seeking a highly-motivated professional with experience in sales tax as well as administrative organization skills. Experience will also include preparation of monthly and quarterly sales tax returns. This position will report to the Director of Tax and Tax Group Manager and will have frequent interaction with other members of the tax team.

You will

• Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly and annual sales tax returns for multiple states
• Assist with filing of escheatment returns and ad hoc information requests for escheatment
• Assist with various ad hoc tax projects, electronic filing of documents and license renewals
• Assist Tax Director or Group Manager with data requests for sales tax audits as needed
• Assist with sales tax accruals and other analysis on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively to solve problems within a team environment

You have

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• 3- 5 years’ experience in a corporate environment, preferably in Industry with emphasis in accounting including sales and use tax
• Excellent business writing and communication skills.
• Excel skills
• Software knowledge of Vertex would be preferred but not required.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment working under the pressure of competing and sometimes conflicting deadlines.
• Remote Employees should confirm that the internet service available has adequate bandwidth to support all work processes.

LegalZoom is a remote-first company and the national range for this role is ($51,000-$71,000). Actual compensation offered will depend on several factors including but not limited to: geographic location, work experience, education, skill level, and/or other business and organizational needs. In addition, an annual bonus, incentive bonus and/or restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package.
