Brown Goldsmiths is located in the heart of Freeport, Maine one block from LL Bean. We are an independent fine jewelry store focused on heirloom quality and custom jewelry design with goldsmiths, designers, gemologist and appraisers on staff. The perfect candidate would be a person that understands and respects the balance and importance of professionalism, a fun and welcoming work environment and values the benefit of guiding a sale with a combination of expertise, compassion, and attention to detail. Client relationships and quality jewelry have been the key to our business success for 55 years.

We are looking for a sales associate with the following skill set:

· Strong communication skills to effectively work with customers, coworkers and jewelers during sales as well as the design and jewelry repair processes.

· Comfortable working one-on-one with clients

· Team player

· Jewelry experience is not necessary but high-end retail, luxury sales or customer service is a plus.

· Available for full time employment Tuesday through Saturday, with Saturday availability.

Responsibilities include:

· All aspects of sales and customer service including education and guidance to help customers make informed decisions.

· Customer follow up and follow through on all jobs; even after the sale is completed.

· Facilitating the design, custom and repair process between client, vendors and jewelers.

· Client cultivation and relationship building.

· Representing the company and the brand core values.

· Awareness of security and safety.

· Client confidentiality.

· Teamwork

Benefits include:

· Starting pay depending on experience $45,000-55,000 with the ability to earn more based on performance.

· A 5 day work week – Tuesday through Saturday. Sundays, Mondays and evenings are off. This allows for a healthy work life balance.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
