Territory Sales Manager for Hospitality Industry in Maryland Heights, MO
Technology company is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven individual to join our team as a Territory Sales Manager. In this role, you will play a crucial part in prospecting, consulting, presenting product offerings, and closing new opportunities. You will also be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
As a Territory Sales Manager, you will make independent business decisions daily to achieve your goals, becoming proficient in our product offerings and an expert in the hospitality industry. We are looking for candidates with a positive attitude, confident and outgoing personality, excellent communication and phone skills, and the persistence to exceed quotas and objectives.
Responsibilities:
· Participate actively in training programs to gain a deep understanding of our product offerings, particularly merchant services.
· Engage in cold calling and phone outreach to secure meetings with prospects.
· Conduct extensive research to identify prospects for outreach programs.
· Develop compelling and effective messaging for phone and written communications.
· Prospect and concentrate efforts in your designated market area, establishing yourself as a prominent figure.
· Research accounts, identify decision makers, budgets, and timelines.
· Engage prospects in meaningful business conversations to understand their needs, goals, and decision-making processes.
· Foster relationships with clients, prospects, and industry vendors.
· Present and demonstrate our offerings in a consultative manner.
· Prepare detailed quotes for opportunities.
· Follow up on leads and opportunities, closing new business to achieve sales goals.
· Maintain regular and clear communication with your sales manager regarding business development progress and pipeline management.
· Utilize salesforce.com to organize and update client information.
· Become an industry expert in the hospitality industry and competitive offerings, providing valuable insights to clients and prospects.
· Meet or exceed sales targets.
Experience/Skills:
· College degree required.
· 1-4 years of sales experience desired.
· Experience within the restaurant or hospitality industry or merchant services is a plus.
· Strong ambition and desire to increase earnings.
· Sense of urgency and a competitive spirit.
· Positive attitude and confident, outgoing personality.
· Excellent communication and customer service skills, capable of working with diverse personalities.
· Problem-solving skills and a passion for finding solutions.
