Position Summary:
The position will hold responsibility for developing and managing new/existing business in a territory across the South of France (Lyon, Nice, Marseille, Montpellier, Toulouse areas) for all Bio-Techne brands. By working closely with Sales Specialist teams and Marketing you will manage existing business and source new business throughout the territory.
You will develop a high knowledge of customers, their workflows and the wider market in order to achieve strategies to increase business and market share.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source, develop and drive new/existing business opportunities.
- Use a selection of channels to identify and qualify new business opportunities, including in bound lead follow up, outbound cold calls, emails and social media.
- Look to implement new and innovative strategies to identify new business, therefore enhancing Bio-Techne EMEA revenue.
- Keep all channels of communication open with internal and external sales teams, lead generation and marketing within Bio-Techne.
- Maintain awareness and knowledge of marketplace and competitors. Report findings and potential pipeline both monthly and quarterly to the Territory Manager for France.
- On occasions represent the company at domestic and international conferences.
- Regular travel to European Headquarters for commercial updates required.
Education and Experience:
- BSc in a biological based subject.
- An understanding of the Life Science Market and Bio-Techne portfolio.
- Fluent in English and French.
- Previous Commercial experience is required.
- Demonstrable experience of working within a sales environment with a strong commercial focus.
- Experience of using own initiative and working in a target driven environment.
- Beneficial to have experience with a CRM (SalesForce).
- Ability to track return on investment (ROI) and key performance indicators (KPI’s).
- Possess excellent IT skills; including experience of working with databases, Office Outlook, using Excel and Word are essential.
