Full description of the position

Overview:
Salem Media Group is seeking a proactive, self-starter to serve as the Revenue Analytics and Lead Generation Specialist for our direct sales teams. This position will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and SVP of Sales in identifying prospects to grow direct advertising revenue. Position will also work alongside sales leadership to identify, develop, and deploy a constantly evolving best business process for direct advertising sales prospecting. The position also serves as one of the administrators for the company’s CRM system (RAB Account Manager) and will be responsible for identifying and implementing improvements to the CRM platform. Position can be in office, virtual or hybrid.
Responsibilities:
  • Supports the sales department by prospecting new leads through competitor research and other sales prospecting tools to disperse to the sales organization.
  • Provides research on revenue analytics.
  • Creates new lead records in CRM system and tracks follow through to ensure new leads are contacted.
  • Works with the sales team as requested to locate fresh contacts for existing organizations.
  • Serve as a system administrator for the CRM system for the direct advertising team.
  • Responsible for marketing and promoting Salem’s platform to existing leads via email and other marketing tactics.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum one year of experience in sales prospecting/lead generation preferred, but not required.
  • College degree in Math, Business, Data Science or Computing.
  • Strong Math, computer, database skills.
  • Ability to use internet to research information.
  • History of successfully driving projects to completion & strong project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative on projects, assignments, and creative problem solving.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, as well as handle and prioritize simultaneous requests to support internal team goals.
  • Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • A positive attitude.
  • Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from within and outside our org, reconcile conflict, decompose high-level information into details, and abstract up from basic information to 30 thousand foot overview.
  • Strong excel skills.
  • Database skills preferred.
  • Enjoys computer work and research.
