SoCal Lighting Supplier has been in business for over 50 years and is looking for a Business Development Representative to join our sales team in Pacoima, CA. The Business Development Representative will be responsible for independently seeking out and calling on potential customers in the signage, architectural and Industrial controls industries to name a few.

While this position is almost exclusively inside (phone and email), it will eventually require meeting with select customers.

Training on our products and target industries will be provided. The individual must possess the ability to proactively find potential customers online and have a genuine love for sales.

After 6 months, the Business Development Representative performance will be reviewed for consideration of the position of Account Manager. The Account Manager position includes Business Development, Customer Service and Management of Accounts in a specified territory.

Essential job functions:

Find leads independently and follow up on leads from inquiries and marketing campaigns

Prospect and introduce our company to potential clients

Contact potential clients through cold calls, emails, video or social media platforms

Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services

Maintain records of sales efforts in CRM and excel

Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in B2B sales

Ability to effectively research markets and potential customers online

Familiarity with MS Excel and Word

Excellent communication skills (English)

Experience in electronic distribution is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $41,600.00 - $55,000.00 per year
