Job description

Railex Conveyor Crop is a manufacture of material handling equipment. We specialize in overhead conveyors, sorters, and storage racks for the clothing and uniform industry. We are looking for a Sales and Costing Engineer. The ideal candidate will comfortable Working in 2D CAD and have experience in manufacturing and production. You must be comfortable communicating with customers and doing detailed take-offs.

If your background involves working with any of the following industries we want to talk with you: Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Structural Steel, Curtain Wall, Framing, Pallet Racking.

Railex is a full manufacturing facility with complete inhouse fabrication capabilities. We have been a leader in our field of GOH (Garment On Hanger) storage, movement, and sorting for over 60 years with a strong presence in retail distribution, e-commerce, industrial laundries, and many other related fields.

Our ideal candidate has 2-5 years experience in construction, plumbing, fire sprinklers, HVAC, structural steel, warehouse design, conveyor design and installation, pallet rack design and installation, or a similar industry that involves customer relationships, layout, design, and costing of various size projects.

The core tasks, duties, and responsibilities that typically make up the sales and estimating job description are listed below :

• Talk to customers and understand the requirements for each project.
• Develop and propose solutions, including drawings in plan and elevation views.
• Explore options to propose the best solution for each individual project.
• Responsible for providing complete quantity take-off, analysis, and estimate, and studies for all deliverables involved in the project.
• Identify design and constructability issues and analysis to determine manufacturability in the factory and constructability in the field.
• Act as a connection between the company and the customer.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience in the field for installation, project management, or in manufacturing.
• Knowledge: Possess practical sales, estimating, and engineering experience
• Computer skills: Proficient skills with CAD and Microsoft office applications.
• Communication and interpersonal skills: In executing their job sales and estimators communicate with various stakeholders in the project such as the customer, the contractor, and the Railex factory.
• Collaboration skills: The sales and estimating job involves working with and managing different teams, including other engineers, finance, manufacturing, and the customers.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
