TailWind is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team. The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for new customer acquisition and revenue growth into existing and win back accounts. The BDM will be responsible for developing and implementing a business plan to maximize sales of TailWind products and services. The BDM is responsible for sales and revenue generation measured against monthly, quarterly, and annual quotas, as established by management. Business development (new logo focus), target marketing, pipeline management, account development, strong customer relations and negotiation of terms and pricing are essential to a BDM’s success. This is a dual sales role for both a hunter and a farmer within an assigned set of accounts.
Essential Functions:
- Identify and qualify ideal customers for Tailwind Voice & Data.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans for identified targeted accounts and any assigned marketing qualified leads.
- Identify and win new business with new logo accounts and existing customers.
- Develop customer relationships with all stakeholders, key decision-makers, and executives.
- Attain or exceed all quota goals and objectives, including pre-sale activities and revenue targets.
- Manage end-to-end sales activities with accounts and contacts within the CRM.
- Understand and articulate Tailwind’s value proposition to new and ongoing prospects and customers.
- Provide periodic reporting of customers and prospects through CRM sales and progress reports.
- Work closely with Tailwind’s cross-functional team members to provide necessary information and support throughout the end-to-end sales process, ensuring success and profitable execution.
- Have a high degree of competency around your customer’s projects, solutions, and proposals
11. Travel associated with sales may include trade shows, developmental activities, and prospecting.
12. Other Duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related preferred. Experience Required:
- 3-5 years of experience in Telecom sales to Directors and C-Level Executives at Fortune 1000 companies
- Proven track record of achieving quotas of monthly sales goals.
- Exhibit professionalism, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to integrity.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport over the phone, build credibility quickly, and clearly articulate a value proposition.
- Strong customer service orientation with ability to develop and maintain relationships, internally and externally.
- Initiative, follow-through, strong time-management skills, and the ability to multi-task.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of PC tools.
