Retail Sales Envelope Sales Representative in Northvale, NJ
The Envelope Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling envelopes to businesses, organizations and individuals. They play a crucial role in generating revenue for the company and closing sales. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships, identifying potential customers, and meeting sales targets. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of the envelope industry, and a proactive approach to sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
- Identify and approach potential customers, including businesses, organizations, and individuals.
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of various envelope options.
- Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate envelope solutions to meet their requirements.
- Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotes, and contracts to potential customers.
- Follow up with leads and prospects to ensure timely closure of sales.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing exceptional service and support.
- Understand customer preferences, buying patterns, and market trends to anticipate their needs.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as production and customer service, to ensure smooth order processing and delivery.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and market conditions.
- Conduct market research to identify potential target markets and customer segments.
- Analyze sales data and metrics to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide feedback to management on customer needs, market trends, and product opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales-related expenses.
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop sales strategies and achieve sales targets.
- Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to expand professional network and promote the company's envelope products.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in business or a related field is a plus).
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the envelope or packaging industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
- Self-motivated and target-driven.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
- Must have knowledge of the stationery or office supplies industry.
