Telecommunications Manager, Market Development and Launch -- TX & OK in San Antonio, TX
General Summary
The Market Development and Launch Manager is a project management position that is responsible for facilitating the processes required for fiber market developments. This position is responsible for market development, project setup, vendor relationship, and working cross functionally to organize the fiber launch market pipeline. The successful candidate will be an expert in market development and launch processes with collaboration and process management skills to align all stakeholders for delivering successful launch outcomes.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Owns the coordination and execution for all fiber market validation, pre-build and service launches
- Develops and maintains a consistent process for market and service launches
- Coordinate with all relevant cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure all deliverables and activities meet company objectives (including permitting, sales, and marketing)
- Prioritizes projects in alignment with business strategy
- Maintains a master schedule of launch projects in-flight providing executive-level awareness to the fiber pipeline
- Conducts weekly meetings with internal stake holders to solidify fiber market plans and summarize cost, scope, and schedule for review and approval
- Ensures that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules
- Identifies next steps toward conclusions for launch projects and makes effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
- Provides support to peers and project team members
- Works across the organization to lead the development and implementation of standard launch process as well as identifies process inefficiencies and suggests improvements.
Job Requirements
- 3-5 years of Project or Product Management experience, preferably in telecommunication industry
- BS/BA or equivalent work experience
- Experience in interacting with and engaging diverse operational groups and external stakeholders
- Strong leadership experience, and ability to work with a remote team.
- Ability to analyze and define problems, prioritize work flow, multitask, meet deadlines, influence others, and remain flexible.
- Must be able to work with confidential information in a secure and professional way
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Travel as required by projects (up to 10%)
Working Conditions
- Employee remains in the sitting position for prolonged hours. Employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
