The Rental National Account Manager is responsible for targeting and growing strategic/national rental accounts. Selling the Warren CAT house of offerings while doing so.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Support the development of Rental National Accounts working directly with Caterpillar National Account Manager’s and Warren CAT Machine Sales Representatives, Rental Power Sales Representatives and Rental Service Representatives.
- Develop strong relationships with key decision makers across Strategic and Rental National Account customers.
- Recommend and assist in the development of new Rental National Accounts into the dealer network.
- Focus for this position is to identify a target list of customers that are existing and new to Warren CAT, Inactive accounts of 180 days or longer with an established project list working within the Warren CAT territory footprint. Accounts will be assigned on an annual to bi-annual rotation as set forth by sales management.
- Strong focus in this role will be establishing Master Rental Agreements and Master Services Agreements with Rental National Account Managers customer list.
- Develop Strategic / National account plans and strategies.
- Oversee the negotiation of major rental sales opportunities.
- Assist CAT Rental National Account Manager and CAT National Corporate Account Managers with growth, implementation, and all other customer related issues.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Preferably a college degree, formal college training, and / or additional training in the following areas as an advantage.
- Ability to gather and analyze information skillfully, and sometimes develop alternative solutions;
- Have experience in the rental industry with a minimum of 10 years of successful rental sales experience. Some closely related industries would include construction, engineering and equipment distribution.
- Knowledge and understanding of the training and support capabilities within the Caterpillar organization.
- Knowledge of operations, sales, service and all other systems that pertain to account growth.
- Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations, and respond promptly to customer needs.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, listening to others without interrupting, and keep emotions under control.
- General Computer literacy a plus. A working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Power Point.
- Valid driver license and clean driving record.
