Rudolph Research Analytical has been a global manufacturer and supplier of precision, automatic, laboratory instruments for over 50 years. Rudolph products provide solutions for a wide variety of industries including pharmaceutical, food and beverage, petroleum and flavor and fragrance.
Summary:
The primary responsibility of this position is to be involved with Automation product service, perform product demonstrations, installations, and user training for Rudolph’s line of laboratory instrumentation. This position will work closely with the members of the Service and Sales team to support new sales activities and maintain Rudolph’s excellent record of long-term customer satisfaction and retention with our more complex instrumentation.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform Automation product service and Installation support.
- Perform onsite demonstrations and answer or find answers to application questions.
- Perform onsite installations, IQOQPQ, and customer training for all Rudolph instrumentation.
- Update contact and company information in CRM
- Upload documents and details about installations to company CRM
- Provide technical operation training to customers and see that training certificates are issued.
- Provide customer support via email and phone.
- Become a technical leader and troubleshooter for the team in the area of Automation.
- Complete timely and accurate service documentation and reports.
- Efficiently and proactively schedule and arrange travel to customer sites.
- Demonstrate values of Quality, Integrity, and Innovation at all times.
- Attend regular training sessions at the corporate office or off-site locations.
- Submit monthly expense reports for corporate expenses.
- Update all installation activities for month end closing.
Required Education and Experience:
- BS degree in a Chemistry or a related science degree.
- Ability to demonstrate and explain uses and benefits of Rudolph instrumentation.
- Excellent listening and problem-solving skills.
- Desire to attain an expert level of competency in all Rudolph products and the related applications.
- Proficiency in MS Office, HubSpot or other CRM.
- 2-5 years laboratory experience.
- 2-5 years of field instrument service experience
Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Performs duties in a positive and professional manner.
- Listens to customers and managers to learn and solve problems.
- Confident in delivering training to small groups of 2-7 people.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. individually or up to 80 lbs. with a team member.
Travel
- Require daily travel, and overnight travel 20-70% of the work week.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s license.
