Neil Huffman Automotive Group is currently seeking a Used Car Manager. The Used Car Manager is responsible for creating a successful used car department and to fully utilize the dealership team for the profitability of the dealership.


JOB DUTIES
:

  • Oversee all used car operations.
  • Develop sales and gross profits.
  • Assist sales personnel/management in all used car operations.
  • Determine sales price of vehicle and trade-in allowance.
  • Control costs and maximize profits.
  • Train and re-train sales personnel in "Market-Based Pricing" method of successful selling.
  • Recognize, train, develop, and motivate staff to their fullest potential.
  • Establish monthly sales goals and objectives and track progress.
  • Conduct weekly sales status, motivational, and training meetings.
  • Maintain neat and professional appearance of person, showroom, and inventory.
  • Keep abreast of competitor's activities and strategies.
  • React in a timely manner to all situations.
  • Develop positive customer relationships.
  • Monitor performance of personnel and counsel/terminate when appropriate.
  • Work CRM, sales desk, and floor as business needs dictate.
  • All other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.


JOB REQUIREMENTS
:

  • Proficient with inventory management tool vAuto (minimum three years')
  • Maintain adequate sales inventory. (Based on current high demand of Year, Make/Model, types, and colors.)
  • Experience in buying supplemental/addt'l inventory through various sources I.E. Auctions, CarOffer, KBB ICO, SmartAuction, "Off-street"/ "Service Lane" purchases.
  • Proficient with inventory acquisition tool StockWave preferred
  • Previous high volume and producing high number of units per month preferred
  • Experience in the disposition of "wholesale" inventory through various online auctions I.E. ACV, BackLot, etc.
  • Display, merchandise, and promote used vehicle sales. Both online and at the dealership
  • Coordinate with our service departments to help manage the reconditioning process of used cars.
  • Ability to manage and resolve customer issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Safeguard dealership assets and customer data
  • Two years' experience in auto sales.
  • Three years' used auto sales management experience preferred.
  • Demonstrate ethical business practices and integrity in all interactions
  • Excellent motivational skills and high degree of creativity.
  • Highly adept at closing sales.
  • Maintain good driving record.
