Full description of the position

Growing Real Estate Management and Development firm is seeking experienced occupancy/compliance specialist with a minimum of 2 years working with low income tax credit or Section 8 for renovated and newly constructed affordable housing units.

Occupancy/Compliance specialist

Location: Bronx, NY

Responsibilities will include the following:

• Generate, distribute & track Annual, Interim, Move-in and move out certifications and all required documentation in accordance with project-based Section 8 and Tax Credit programs
• Copy, scan, and file office documents
• Maintain current and archived files, purge documents as required
• Communicate with closely with Sr. Compliance Managers & staff in other departments such as legal, maintenance, etc.
• Assist Voucher Specialist with Yardi tasks and gathering of tenant documents for lease signings and monthly HAP voucher submissions.

Requirements:

• College degree preferred but not necessary
• Excellent customer service, administrative and communication skills
• Computer proficiency and knowledge of Yardi software
• Professional phone manner
• Licensed notary public preferred
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
